ICSI infertility treatment
Infertility is called infertility. The most common treatment to date is in-vitro fertilization (IVF). A lesser-known method is intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). How to inject sperm into a cell It has been around since the 1990s.
In a laboratory, a single egg is exposed to 30,000 sperm to produce a fetus. In the ICSI method, only one sperm is injected as if injected. According to the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), the success rate is 50-80%.
The ICSI method is used in pairs with a male weakness. That's about one-third of all infertile people. Low sperm count Infertility is caused by poor sperm motility and poor sperm quality.
Sperm are extracted from their testicles. Men who have had a hysterectomy can also be treated this way. The same can be said of people who have had unsuccessful attempts at IVF. Success is not guaranteed.
ICSI (Pre-implantation genetic testing (PGD)) can also be used to check for DNA defects in the fetus.
Success rates are similar to those of ICSI and IVF.
A weakness is more likely to be a congenital defect. For example, when a boy is born, the tiger's tail does not fall down. IVF accounts for 2% of congenital malformations, compared with 9% for ICSI. The incidence was 26% higher than in IVF and 77% higher in ICSI than in normal pregnancies.
Between 1996 and 2012, the number of ICSI users increased from 36.4% to 76.2%.
